He was selected as a post-doc poster competition finalist for his poster titled "Disruption of the Presumed Circadian Sleep Maintenance Zone Predicts Cognitive Impairment in Older Adults". Congrats Glenn!

Niousha Bolandzadeh was accepted for a 12-week internship at eBay inc. organization, where she had a dual role as a Data Scientist and Product Manager. As a Data Scientist, she built a category relationship model on eBay MarketPlaces and PayPal post-purchase data. In this role, she processed big datasets on Hadoop using Apache Pig and Java UDFs. As a Product Manager, she investigated customers' shares of wallet on eBay and PayPal transaction data. In this role, she worked with Teradata. On both roles, she developed communications and interpersonal skills. Due to her technical and business expertise, she was called a Ninja Intern by her manager on the PM side!

John Best is an invited speaker for the 1st International Congress on Executive Functions in Stuttgart, Germany. It is being organized by an interdisciplinary team of researchers at the Transfer Center for Neuroscience and Learning at the University of Ulm in Germany. His invited talk on executive function across the lifespan and its relation to critical outcomes, ranging from academic achievement to obesity. He will also talk about experiential and environmental factors that may promote executive function, including physical activity, environmental enrichment, and a nurturing family environment.
